Is it possible to visit the Ham factories?
The production area of the Parma Ham is located on the hills south of the city, from Sala Baganza (about 15 km away) to Langhirano.
The factories are usually open to visitors only during the Ham Festival, in September, but some are available on other times of the year, generally for groups and only on reservation.
In Langhirano there is also a Museum of Ham, that shows curious things, the history and richness of this exceptional product.
