Description:

the National museum Giuseppe Verdi opened on the 10th of October 2009 on the occasion of the 196th anniversary of the Maestro's birth, inside the beautiful Villa Pallavicino.

The 27 works of the great composer are represented through an historical tour displaying the original scenographies of Casa Ricordi, the precious fabrics of the 19th century, costumes and fashion plates of the performers, the immortal music in a theatrical atmosphere that makes visitors live particular emotions and takes them along the way.

The itinerary has been created by the scenographer and director Pier Luigi Pizzi. The music hall, the garden of Verdi, the multimedia tecnologies and a bookshop complete the tour of the most important museum dedicated to Giuseppe Verdi's genius. The museum also organizes events, concerts, liric competitions and temporary exhibitions dedicated to lirica and theatre.
