Surrounded by hills on the right side of river Stirone, this little village was in the 10th century a feud belonging to the powerful Pallavicino and later to the Meli Lupi families.
Its history is actually linked to its medieval castle, rising on the top of a hill and built around the end of the 12th century.

Weekly market: second and fourth Monday of the month.

How to get there:

42 Km from Parma. By car from Parma South ring road exit 12 Via La Spezia then SS 62 to Fornovo di Taro then provincial road to Bore, or SS 9 (Via Emilia) to Fidenza then SS 359 to Salsomaggiore Terme-Pellegrino Parmense. By bus, Tep line Parma-Pellegrino Parmense.
