is an
ancient
village
in the
valley
of river
Ceno,
with a
beautiful
castle
that
once
belonged
to the
Pallavicino
family
and was
destroyed
by their
Ghibelline
enemies.
The
castle
owes its
present
features
to works
carried
out in
15th
century:
three of
the four
towers
are
allingned
on the
side
facing
the Ceno
river.
The
octagonal
Baptistery
of
Serravalle,
dating
back to
9th
century,
is one
of the
most
ancient
Romanesque
monuments
of the
province.
